At first glance, Gobblet seems simple----an elegant derivative of tic-tack-toe. But, as you delightedly revisit the Gobblet board time and again, the game quickly becomes more challenging, as you discover hidden nuances. The object is to line up four pieces of your own color. However, pieces come “nested” in four sizes. Smaller pieces may be “gobbled” up when larger pieces are placed over them (if the larger piece is moved at a later time, a decidedly un-strategic surprise may be revealed).
